The Ford family still owns the Lions, different face, same family. Maybe this new lady will improve things but I'm doubtful.
I think she is different.
Everything they've done up to this point looks good. In the past, I would not say that about them.
Campbell has no record, really. He was an offensive coach and then interim head coach (and those as a rule do not fare well, for obvious reasons.) He was however a fixture in the Saints offensive stuff. I think the sound byte was a caricature, I don't think
he is.
Ragnow was a pro bowler last year. Stafford praised him. He went to guard cause he is 6'5". This is what Stafford said he did after asking to be traded:
"he called two of his offensive linemen, Taylor Decker and Frank Ragnow. 'Those guys have put their bodies on the line for me. And I felt like I owed it to ‘em. I didn’t want them to hear it any other way.'” Sounds to me like he respects those 2.
I think hiring Holmes means they got the real thing, whereas hiring Patricia was another "Billichick Buddy Hire Blunder."
Holmes was good with the Rams, we know he was. Not sure what would change him overnight into something lesser.
I get the laughing thing. When some people were saying before the 99 season that the Rams were looking viable, there was laughter then too, including (if not especially) from Rams fans. I am not predicting a Detroit 99 but while the laughter of often-burned skeptical fans is an old thing, sometimes, it can be wrong.
