I do agree that the OP in the other thread didn't properly quote what was said - but logically what was meant?
Two people who see things very quickly could be on different pages I acknowledge that.
The sense I got was that he and McVay we're not seeing things the same way I.e not on the same page and that was frustrating McVay which, in turn, hurt Goffs confidence, which is affecting his play even more.
James alluded to it in another thread. Being on the same page to me means that they are reading the progressions the same way.
That is, what the defense is showing leads the quarterback to do certain things in a certain order. And I understood those comments to mean that he is not processing it the way he should based on the way the defense is dictating it.
I do agree with Silver that those things should be fixable with a talented player and to some degree fall on the coach.
