I am sure you've never heard of a player getting severe pain in a surgically repaired knee in week one that was fine before that. Isn't that the way it happens? Everything feels fine then bam, there's some pain. I will stand by my opinion WEEK 1 has nothing to do with it. And the fact you've never heard of something like that in week 1 doesn't mean it's something extraordinary or ominous.
Well I stand by my view. Exclude week 1... and, it's not the whole or the real story. .(McVay, after bringing up the swelling in December, says
"It was a similar situation earlier in the year after we played Oakland as well")
Bam, there's some pain...depending on the exact nature of the cause. I mean it's not just a knee going "I;m surgical, and now randomly, I hurt." Some underlying physical cause or condition emerges to cause pain and swelling. Something wears down, something gets worse, something is doing something. And what is that, exactly? (Because there are a lot of possibilities.) Well obviously we don't know.
Speculating about the exact cause is kind of futile, IMO, and that includes speculating that it was nothing.
So that's where I stand.
Moving on.
