Again he is on a great young team with a potentially generational coach. A true SB contender and a team loaded with stars. I just wish he was more humble and selfless $21+ million a year and $80 mil guaranteed - Dude take it. These are not the 4-12 Rams
He knows there are other players that need to get paid. I just wish some of these dudes could think beyond just themselves
He has an opportunity to get paid like no other defensive player EVER and he and his family will be set for life and then he will be on a team that is loaded with stars and is trying to set the stage for 5 to 6 year run
I just hate the mentality
And none of that is going to convince a player to take less than he's worth on a 2nd contract.
There are other good teams out there with good coaches who will benefit from a player of his caliber and do well with him, who also know better than to try and pay a player like him less than he knows he's worth.
We;re Rams fans. We want to believe the Rams are the center of the universe. Donald is not obliged to think that way. If they can't pay him what he's worth then we end up with the hold-out, force a trade scenarios.
....
Your reply indicates that you continue to ignore three very important facts, zn. I emphasize facts. Not opinions.
1) It costs AD net monies to sit. Soon more than he could recoup even if he ultimately gets everything he’s asking for.
2) It also costs AD a ton of money every year that he refuses to extend. Also money that he can never recoup. Lose, lose.
3) You refuse to acknowledge the extreme difficulty of AD finding a trade partner that is willing to pay him his demands ($25 million, or so?) AND give the Rams two 1sts. Teams acceptable to the Rams, that is? Certainly no NFC West team, probably no NFC team that the Rams feel might become a playoff opponent. This reduces the potential trade partners, believe me. And puts AD on a poor roster of a struggling team. Something that he reportedly was afraid of with the Fisher Rams. How ironic that would be.
I am amazed at your continued avoidance of these legit obstacles for a happy ending for AD and his pos agent.
For the hundredth time, AD should take the $21-22 million, $70-80 million guaranteed, and run, laughing all the way to the bank.
