I know this is boorish with the chatter on alleviating the Fisher quotient, but I'll give Gonzales high marks for his take
the story is leaked, not announced
the weak delivery in the shadows of the best team in football, Patriots, winning their 201st.
not even a statement from the team offices; no presser.
timing is everything, and it would seem that on the road, away from the LA press corps, and with little aplomb; a whisper, not fanfare
add it up, it's just a chance to us to foment ill content.
to me, the visit by David Shaw is of interest; regardless of intent
the undercurrent seemed to have been Stan wanted to keep Jeff for another season or so
the promise of the 2016 season warranted that notion; but all systems failed. abort, abort, abort.
felt for some time that Jeff would be invited "upstairs" as a consultant at the end of his coaching stint
even that might be thwarted; the unraveling is impossible to ignore.
25 yards, one first down
that's it for the first half of football in Boston.
you're not rewarding that; as much as I thought there we had assembled a roster, and some momentum going into this season.......?
so Jeff gets a nice payday for a season he won't coach.
the main reason, as of now, that they'll continue to struggle........Jeff just won't summarily change up OL guys, won't change up his RB when it's clear that the starter is struggling, won't bring up some practice squad WRs to change it up, won't hold his OC and position coaches accountable. the list long, and been hashed here again and again. but staying the course with what hasn't worked?
expect the offense to remain the same this weekend. If they can get in rhythm, maybe it all works out. but most likely, more of the same.
and......have to apologize for adding another post the matter..........phew
