I'm definitely okay with demanding results from our FO, Dead. Including Snead. So we're clearly on the same page there.
Three things that keep me from a knee jerk lashing out and firing Snead.
The biggest is that none of us knows how much input Snead had in personnel decisions over the last 5 years, with particular emphasis on O players. I suspect the lion's share falls on Fisher. After all, Snead was required to select from a talent pool of "Fisher type" players, wasn't he? Could it be a self fulfilling prophecy type thing? Only Demoff knows for sure. I think Snead's fate will hang on that knowledge of Demoff's. Snead might be a hero, or maybe the goat on those many decisions. I think that Snead deserves more benefit of the doubt, myself.
The second thing is that I believe that Snead has exceeded league averages in success of his late round and UDFA choices. If you disagree, that's fine. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
Lastly, I strongly suspect that Fisher and his crack O coaching staff have bungled the development of too many "good" picks. More than the typical NFL coaching staff, anyway. I can't, in good conscience, hold Snead responsible for that.
