We just disagree on a few things. IMO, those 3 HOF'ers should be able to elevate the talent of the "lesser" talent around them so I disagree with your premise. We hear it all the time about how playing next to AD earns players money and then when they leave they aren't as good.
Why? Because the HOF'er AD elevated their talent.
AD did it for the DL.
Wags did it for the LB's
Ramsey did it for the CB's
If we are going to give Morris the credit for having a top defense with those HOF players he should also get the credit/criticsm when he doesn't achieve that ranking while still having those HOF'ers to help elevate the defense around them.
Great coaches can make good players look great no matter the talent level. Morris will have his chance this year to show what he got. You sound more confident than I am about what will happen and that's cool. I hope you are right because that means we will be exceeding expectations!
Only time will tell who was right or wrong.
Again, I hope I didn't come across as narcissistic in my response to you. That happens way too much around here. I am not saying you are wrong and I won't call you any names because I feel the need to be right. Your opinion carries as much weight as mine does. No "proof" needed!
Whatever happens this year, let's just hope we can find some talent that will exceed our expectations. We will need a few of those during this rebuild.
I hope McVay and Morris aren't afraid to "challenge" some of the new guys by putting them in spots where they can excel and take a few chances. Let's see what they have.
No more playing "scared" of failure like we do on defense!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
