QuoteLMU93 The slot for pick #61 would basically mean losing the NFC Championship game. I do think they can get a LT at that spot- maybe. Won't be easy or guaranteed a good tackle prospect would be there. But also, with 11 picks heading into that Draft, they might be able to move up a bit in the 2nd round for someone they like. Not a big leap, but could they move up 5-10 spots for a LT they lby zn - RamsFootballFans.com
The odds of finding a viable, at least better than just average starting LOT low in the 2nd round are not good. Maybe it's a crazy draft and there really are so many decent LOT prospects, you can find one. But that's not the kind of thing you count on. Quote3030 QuoteLMU93 In 2014 when they drafted Sam and signed Westbrooks as an UDFA they were basically in a two-man competition for the Rams' last DL spot. Sam played alright in preseason but I remember Westbrooks was clearly the better player. I would actually be surprised if either Lewis or Obo showed anything consistently. Maybe in spots? I put more faith in Garrett's development but then he is facing a steep learning curve as a rookie. I think the best chance of getting anything out of the right side pass rush spot is a committee approach with plays designed to maximize what different players are better at in that situation.by zn - RamsFootballFans.com
From the article in my previous post: Quote While Everett produced his only Pro Bowl campaign and the offense was near the top in every major category, the Rams defense ultimately led to their mediocre 5-11 record, the first of five consecutive seasons of 10 or more losses Everett in 1990: he had 5 poor games (for the era, I take that as being a qb rating of less than 60). Quotesstrams nm The point about the vaccinated players is that although they tested positive, they are far less likely to get sick, and if they got sick, far less likely to have a bad illness. I used to think there was a future with NB but not anymore. I would be surprised if the assessment changed again. He just did not show enough as an all around good starting LOT last year. QuoteBearlyThere I agree that it wouldn't be a good look for McVay. It adds to Kittle getting drafted in the 5th round of that same draft by Shanahan (who was OC during Reed's best years). If you look at the top 20 players in sacks, only 5 were not either a 1st or 2nd rounder. Not that many are even 2nd rounders. So obviously after round 1 your chances of finding one go down, and after round 2 they go way down.
