I used to think there was a future with NB but not anymore. I would be surprised if the assessment changed again. He just did not show enough as an all around good starting LOT last year. Granted he was better at OT than at guard.
Here's the thing though. He's a FA after this season. Do you sign him to a 2nd contract? The most likely scenario is that it would have to be starter's money. I mean if you're Noteboom do you sign an extensions as a back-up? And if no one else is willing to pay him starter's money in a left-OT starved league, that tells you something too.
Is the LOT issue fully addressed by keeping NB on a new contract? I doubt it. (And that's whether or not AW plays another year. It's still a looming issue even if he does.)
