CJ was cut twice last year and we picked him up at the end of the season because he was totally out of work. He may decide he likes it here and resign stranger things have happened. I doubt he gets a really be contract. He has had success in the past and didn't get one last season. I really would like to keep him. On a side note it is fun to watch Kelly run with that violent styleby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff has proven that he is one of the top QB talents in the League despite a rough patch during the season. The Rams will pick up his 5th year option and will sign him long term regardless of whether we win the next playoff game. Franchise QB are really hard to come by and usually you have to be really bad to get one if there is even one to get that year. If you are going to blame Goff iby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the team is confident right now and feel they have righted the ship. They have a little momentum and have dominated their last 2 games. The defense has been better since Talib came back. While we still have trouble stopping the run we are seeing big plays. Offensively Goff must be feeling positive about his recent performance and it is important for the young guy to go in feeling goby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Littleton would seem to be a better fit outside. At a minimum he needs a strong DL that will keep blockers off him and a Thumper playing beside him. Overall he is a sideline to sideline type who is good in pass coverage. He also rushes the passer really well but is under utilized in that role. Littleton seems to improve each year and I think if they do a better job pairing him with a ruby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with getting a new backup but this doesn't seem to be the year to draft one as this class seems weak but maybe it is just the top end talent that is weak. 2020 seems to be shaping up as the QB draft and maybe someone falls to us in round 2/3 If we draft this year Finney the kid from NC State looks interesting and is probably there in round 3 or 4.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Against the Niners I'm playing a lot of Zone, I'm shading the D towards Kittle, and playing strict gap run defense. Morris can't really get to the outside any more; he's a between the Tackles runner. Shut down Kittle, make the QB put the ball in the air to his other guys by shutting down the run gaps, keep everything in front of the DBs, and that ought to just about do it. I noticed last game that Phillips moved Donald around more than usual last week and the results were great. I expect that they will move him around even more trying to find the best mismatch and giving him the best chance to break the record. I also think moving him around more is kind of a duhha insight that should have been deployed more often during the season.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems that Everett and Reynolds are spitting time since Reynolds performance has dropped off and Everett has seemed to accelerate. Due to Everett versatility the Rams can line up in the 11 or 12 formation when he is in the game. Everett whose blocking has improved greatly can let the offense play the 11 or 12 with substitution which makes it harder for the defense to defend because they canby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteAlbaNY_Ram There are 33 QBs who have qualified for the NFL's 'Passer Rating' list. In the Rams' 15 games so far they have played 12 games against rated passers. 5 of those 12 games have been against top 5 QBs, another 4 games are against QBs in the top half of the league. The Rams have only played 3 games against rated QBs in the bottom half of the league. Week 1: Derek Carr, rated 1by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Brockers has been a mystery all season long. He should be breaking into his prime years and he seems to have regressed. Perhaps it is the scheme or that he has lost weight and is playing more end versus nose but what clear is that he is not making plays. Teams are running against us and you can't just blame the LB group. Certainly he did not play up to his salary cap level this year. Now Bby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I think that the Rams want to get physically dominant going into the playoffs. I am not sure they are vanilla considering the versatility of our offense but I am sure McVay is saving some good stuff and surprises for the playoffs.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
RockRam totally agree. When we play the 12 formation and get physical it makes us a much better team and gets us ready for the playoffs. Getting physical is a mental frame of mind and we have the guys who can dominate and then deflate a defense. If we can beat up another team physically it will have us mentally ready to play. Those big old lineman enjoy it too so let them have some fun.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Snead has done a great job. He drafted al Hall of fame DT, an all pro running back and a Franchise QB. Snead uses all methods of player acquisition: Draft, Trades, Free Agents, Bargin Bin Free Agents, Undrafted Free Agents Snead has built a Roster that is as good as any in the NFL. He acquired players designed to fit into the coaches offensive and defensive schemes We areby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I really like both of our TE. Higbee is a blocking machine and it seems Everett is starting to learn that too. Both are just starting to come into their own. Everett in the open field can be electric. Get him the ball and watch him go. He looks like he is about ready to explode on the scene. Higbee reminds me a bit of Mark Bavaro from the Giants. He is not easy to bring down. McVaby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 But there was some terrific blocking going on vs the Cards. And it was the Cards. Lol. The offensive line got back their MOJO big time!!!! They got to go out and smash people and they are good at that. When you start physically dominating the defense they get worn out and they don't rush the passer that well. McVay may not have made all the adjustments that he needs to make buby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

For the last 15 years I would be rooting to lose that last few games so we could get a higher pick. I would have studied all the top players in the draft and I would watch the bowl games just to see the prospect perform on a big stage. Those days really sucked bit time. Don't get me wrong I really like the draft but I can wait and study up after we go for all the marbles. From the quagmireby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think resigning Saffold is the big key. But if not Noteboom probably gets a shot at guard which would give him experience before having to take over at LT when Whit is done playing. I think Sully is back for 1 more season. Not sure where Snead goes for depth if we don't resign Saffold. He did get Blythe for nothing as he had been cut by the Colts. I suspect that they will draft defenby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The guy is a pro bowl level talent Joyner has a bad wheel. He is a smart player but has some bad history. I say sign him and he can help in the playoffs. After a few games you can determine if you want to resign him. Seems like a low risk signing and our locker room can handle someone like him.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe NO is favored but Rams are right there. Really what else is there to hope for? We are in a great position and I like our chances.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
First McVay turned this team around. Snead provided the talent and McVay coached them to success. Yes McVay is facing some adversity now as defenses have made adjustments in how to defend his offense. He has been slow to make adjustments. Right now the adversity is not just with McVay but also with Goff. They both know how important it is to win the next 2 games to get a bye week so thereby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Suh has not worked out that is easy to see. At 14 Mil he is greatly underperforming the money the Rams are paying him and the space he is taking up on the salary cap. Good news he will be gone next year and he will probably bring us a comp pick. When we signed him many of us though that we would have a killer defensive line but that just is not the case. I agree with you 49. Mental mistakes, Gurley, Everrett and Goff. Defense how do you allow 2 guys to get way beyond the coverage? Just terribile. McVay is failing to make adjustments to what defenses are doing. He has 2 more weeks to figure things out and he has to get his QB back on track too. I agree Brockers has been nearly invisible this year. He is a very talented guy and Donald is getting lots of attention so you would expect Brockers to standout and make plays. I have similar sentiments about Suh. In fact I thought the DLine would dominate but other than Donald they have really disappointed me with their lack of performance. I will say that with Fowler our pass rush as aby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Cooper seems to have lost his burst on kickoffs. He doesn't seem to be moving that well so either he is still hurt or still working his way back and building strength in the ankle. Not sure how the helps in the slot right now. Would rather see 2 TE with Everett getting more touches.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree it the Eagles will be a good test. Can Goff bounce back after 2 bad games. Can McVay get the offense humming again? Can he confuse the defense and get them off balance? Can the Defense continue to improve and build on their success of the last 2 games? Can we start to dominate games?
