QuoteGlyndwr71 I don't doubt Wade knows more about football than we'll ever learn in 100 years, but... Might want to double team him all game next week. Just a suggestion. The guy is a beast.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Dallas played them well and is the model. They stopped the run and took away the short pass and pressured the heck out of Brees. Of course we may not have the players to cover tightly 1 on 1 deep. If we play the loose coverage that we used against Dallas Brees will pick us apart. Somehow we must disrupt his rhythm which is no easy task.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit . . . outside of major injuries. Offense: Run the football. Defense: Stop the opposing team from running the football. Everything else will take care of itself. We got away with a lot of soft coverage against Dallas. If we try that in New Orleans Brees will pick us apart. I agree with the rest.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Even a Sean McVay can’t do it all just by himself. There are 3 legs to this magical stool. IMO. Demoff provides outstanding negotiating and cap management skills. Snead is remarkable at learning precisely what kind of players that McVay wants and then acquires them time and again via draft, trade, and FA. Priceless. The prodigy McVay, after hiring superb asst coaches, thenby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I am impressed that McVay is so self critical and that he recognizes when he and the team miss the mark. McVay seems to be a guy that is continually looking at small changes that can lead to big results. Hence the are fine tuning and sharpening up on the fundamentals versus taking time off. Keep sharp and get healthy what a novel concept. McVay seems to have a capacity to always be grby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I really think that Fisher is his own biggest problem. His problem is that he is not self critical and has failed to adapt to the changes in the game. It is not like the offenses evolved over night. The entire NFL has geared the league to become a passing league. You need a great offensive system with you need really smart players to play in that system. Fisher wanted to play an offense thatby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
A big lead early would sure be nice. Dallas is not built for big comebacks though Prescott has admittedly played really well of late so nothing is a sure thing but certainly it is not the strength of the team. A nice big lead with lots of possession time on our side would be a good recipe for success. However I disagree that it is required for us to win. I do think the Rams defense has underperformed all season long with a few exceptions like Arizona early in the season. In fact the defense has not played well in a number of games and has been a huge concern since early in the season. However They have played pretty darn well since Talib has come back and while they still have trouble with QB that can run and big backs they have been effectiveby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think there are some really good reasons for signing Hav's to the extension. 1. Keep the line together for another year except for perhaps Safford if he doesn't resign. 2. We only have 1 more year left for Whit and Sully and need a guy that can provide some stability. 3. He is a really good RT. On the con side I do think we paid a higher than normal price to keep him although his conby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Kind of a #1 approach to slowing down the rush. I would think that you could catch for some big gains the if you used other misdirection plays. At a minimum you need to focus on getting the ball out quick. Last game was part McVay for a lousy game plan and part Goff for terrible execution and poor accuracy. I trust they will have a few tricks in store and will make adjustments much quickeby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think McVay learned a lesson and will focus on getting the team to come out sharpe, focused and physically dominating.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Woods is signed through 2021 so we have him for at least 3 more seasons. He has turned out to be a great signing and very economical.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it tough to pick a team to root for this weekend. In fact I am rooting for the Cowboys because I don't like Seattle. I guess I would like to see the Eagles win but more so because I think they might give New Orleans a better game than either the Cowboys or Seattle. At the end of the day if we are going to go anywhere we are going to need to be 3 playoff teams and none of them willby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought Bruce was great and a great individual. He had 2 years in his prime where he had nagging hamstring issues or his stats would have been even more amazing. Until Warner he didn't get to play with a great QB either. Bruce, Dickerson, Deacon Jones are my all time favorites as each brought something unique to the table.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It is really telling how bad the offense was under Fisher. Every QB went on to post much much bigger numbers once they got out of that system. His years as a Rams coach were wasted due to his stubbornness and refusal to implement a modern day offense.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that the Rams will make changes to the Roster Regardless of what happens in the Playoffs. Suh, Barron, Joyner are not playing up to their cap numbers. Brockers may be on this list too. Fowler and Safford are free agents that are key players. Offensive Line with Whit and Sully only good for anther year. Same with Talib. We have some key RFA in Littleton and Higbee too.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Quotedzrams QuoteRams43 Secondly, yeah, AD’s refusal to come out was a bad look and he showed up Westbrooks in the process. Then again, a big part of AD’s greatness is his incredible drive to be the best of the best. It is behind his unbelievable training program, for example. IOW, AD is different. And in a very good way. It’s very hard for him to shut that down during the game. Not bby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I think the Bears are the hardest match up so I am rooting for them to lose. I don't know who has the best chance against New Orleans but regardless I think the road to the Superbowl will go through New Orleans but you gotta win a playoff game before getting that honor to play them. I can't worry about who has the best chance of beating New Orleans I am worried about who is the weakest opponeby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder if Fisher gets a call. If I was Tampa Bay I would call Mike Martz and get him to fix Winston. Keep Martz out of personnel scouting and pair him with a good defensive coordinator and you will get a good team. Tampa Bay has a lot of offensive talent and Martz would be perfect. Martz has had more HC success than anyone on the Market. Everyone will be looking for the next McVay buby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
CJ was cut twice last year and we picked him up at the end of the season because he was totally out of work. He may decide he likes it here and resign stranger things have happened. I doubt he gets a really be contract. He has had success in the past and didn't get one last season. I really would like to keep him. On a side note it is fun to watch Kelly run with that violent styleby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff has proven that he is one of the top QB talents in the League despite a rough patch during the season. The Rams will pick up his 5th year option and will sign him long term regardless of whether we win the next playoff game. Franchise QB are really hard to come by and usually you have to be really bad to get one if there is even one to get that year. If you are going to blame Goff iby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the team is confident right now and feel they have righted the ship. They have a little momentum and have dominated their last 2 games. The defense has been better since Talib came back. While we still have trouble stopping the run we are seeing big plays. Offensively Goff must be feeling positive about his recent performance and it is important for the young guy to go in feeling goby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Littleton would seem to be a better fit outside. At a minimum he needs a strong DL that will keep blockers off him and a Thumper playing beside him. Overall he is a sideline to sideline type who is good in pass coverage. He also rushes the passer really well but is under utilized in that role. Littleton seems to improve each year and I think if they do a better job pairing him with a ruby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with getting a new backup but this doesn't seem to be the year to draft one as this class seems weak but maybe it is just the top end talent that is weak. 2020 seems to be shaping up as the QB draft and maybe someone falls to us in round 2/3 If we draft this year Finney the kid from NC State looks interesting and is probably there in round 3 or 4.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Against the Niners I'm playing a lot of Zone, I'm shading the D towards Kittle, and playing strict gap run defense. Morris can't really get to the outside any more; he's a between the Tackles runner. Shut down Kittle, make the QB put the ball in the air to his other guys by shutting down the run gaps, keep everything in front of the DBs, and that ought to just about do it. I noticed last game that Phillips moved Donald around more than usual last week and the results were great. I expect that they will move him around even more trying to find the best mismatch and giving him the best chance to break the record. I also think moving him around more is kind of a duhha insight that should have been deployed more often during the season.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems that Everett and Reynolds are spitting time since Reynolds performance has dropped off and Everett has seemed to accelerate. Due to Everett versatility the Rams can line up in the 11 or 12 formation when he is in the game. Everett whose blocking has improved greatly can let the offense play the 11 or 12 with substitution which makes it harder for the defense to defend because they canby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
