Quoteheadslapper A huge change was the updates that Rath brought in. Sad to see him get caught up in bad crap, hoping the systems and trainers in place can continue to thrive without him. And....so, the Titans had that too when Fisher was the coach there? Cause there's nothing like the Rams OL injury history from 2006-2015 with the Titans. Did Rath work for them too? QuoteSunTzu_vs_Camus "Kiser was very productive as he accumulated 26 tackles and two pass deflections in four games of action." not bad!....that's almost 7 tackles per game and then 2 pass deflections is pretty good for a guy who supposedly can't cover. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram "He's not that good at this time." If only that mattered. 2nd contracts for QBs go up every year and QBs get paid the going rate with little regard to where they are on anyone's top 20 list. QuotePHDram I dont want to speak for zn but I dont think he was advocating over 60 percent but rather up to 60. Yeah, it's up to 60%. Which makes exactly 60% fine, the way I define it. QuotePARAM There's a good chance Bobby Evans moves inside. I just get the feeling Kromer will put a very good OL together. McVay did say they would be cross training the two draft picks. If Noteboom and Allen take advantage of the opportunity there's Blythe, Demby, Evans, Edwards and maybe even that UDFA Hitner to fight for the last spot and backup positions. QuoteSo if you are going to take anything away from that article in relation to the 60% number it is DON'T DO IT. And especially don't spend 60% on only 8-9 people. YIKES. It's up to 60% but beyond is trouble. I said that in the first post you responded to in this subthread. Quoteteams spend up to 60% of their cap on 10 high contract players. QuoteRamdom It is incredible how quickly the WR and OL were fixed once Fisher left. It took one year, and they could never get either of them right year after year with Fisher. I give credit to McVay/Snead for the WRs. The OL? Rams had a good OL from 2012-2016 when they met 2 conditions: 1. It was relatively healthy (and it rarely was) 2. It was relatively experienced (eg. the 2016 OLby zn - RamsFootballFans.com

One good argument for how it works is, teams spend up to 60% of their cap on 10 high contract players. With both Goff and Donald, that's more likely to be 8-9 people. So in looking at free agency, it's simple. For the Rams, count up to 9 people total who get the big contracts. QuoteRams43 Coach Kromer is a Ram coaching treasure. Period. I’m sure that they’re compensating him with lots of money, not mere titles. QuoteLMU93 As a converted QB and then TE, he just has a lot of development to do. Though he did have 31 starts and I'm a big believer in drafting Big Ten OL with 30+ starts. Quoteoldschoolramfan Ooooooops.........My bad. He probably made more than Brady :) Actually the Bradford contract is a bit of a myth too. Because it was on the old CBA, it was a 6 year deal. When the new round of 2nd contracts kicked in with the new CBA, 13 M a year was a bargain for a starting qb Annual actual payouts go up and down toby zn - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic Hey everyone, just a quick thought. I keep reading that our new 3rd round RB is a "change of pace" running back. To me this term is when you have a big power back as your main runner and then add a fast guy to throw the d off like Sproles. But, TG30 is one of the fastest back in the NFL with 4.3-4.4 speed. Quoteroman18 Season 2 came about and he was not making any yards. McGinnis, who was of course the assistant head coach in 2016, has stated that TG was not healthy that year.
