Pure luck?
Coincidence?.
It has nothing to do with Fisher.
The Rams had crippling OL injuries from 2006 through 2015, with exceptions in 2010 and 2013. Actually the worst year by far was 2007
That's 3 owners, 3 GMs, and including interims, 4 head coaches. And of course none of this ever happened with the Titans..
I think the one thing 2006 through 2015 has in common is playing regularly on the Dome surface.
So you’re saying that the dramatic difference in OL health between Fisher and McVay is the field turf in St Louis?
That the Fisher policies/players vs McVay’s policies/players had nothing to do with OL health?
If field turf truly was the problem then it should be outlawed. Lol.
Nope. Not saying that. I am saying that Fisher did not have that run of OL injuries in Tenn. yet the Rams had that run of OL injuries long before Fisher. Not entirely sure why you ignore all that. It shows that when it comes to OL health, making it about "Fisher v. McVay" is just a false way of approaching it. Way too false for an "lol" response my friend.
Why did what was probably the worst series of in-season OL injuries in the Rams history happen in 2007?
And actually when the Rams OL was both relatively healthy and stocked with veteran players in 2013, PFF ranked them 13th in the league.
I mention the turf not as a solution or big reveal---it is literally the only thing I can think of. I don't have any idea if it's a valid point or not. 4 head coaches had the same issue. How come? No one will have a valid answer, probably.
I got into the OL injury debates early on. In 2007 in fact. Back then one common idea was that Bulger had just plain fallen apart, probably because, it was said, he had just signed a big contract. I was one of those who kept insisting that OL injuries that extensive take the qb down with it. There were some who just would never listen to that. Even though obviously it's the most likely cause.
And. No one in the league has wildly different policies when it comes to OL training and health. All McVay did was sit the 2 vets. But in the years of massive OL injuries, it did not matter if the player was a vet or a rookie or healthy before or not. So trying to act like someone came up with something new in terms of OL practice and training is just fanciful. You could never make a case for that because probably, like most of us, you could never tell us what the difference IS.
Plus, AGAIN, this did not happen with the Titans. So why didn't it happen with the Titans?
Logic is against you on this one my friend.
