As a converted QB and then TE, he just has a lot of development to do. Though he did have 31 starts and I'm a big believer in drafting Big Ten OL with 30+ starts.
Good thing is he's with a great OL coach in Kromer and some quality veteran OTs in Whitworth and Havenstein to learn from. But I don't see how anyone can call him a "steal" when I don't think any draft expert out there had him as a top 100 prospect. Seems like the Rams took him right about where he was rated.
He was top 100 in early draft progs
before the season.
He fell because he played through a hurt shoulder.
