About your cousin, Jimmy, they say you are either a guitarist who sings a little, or a singer who plays a little guitar.
I always considered myself a singer who plays a little guitar, except now I can't sing that well either. I've been taking guitar lessons for about the last year, trying to learn some new chops.
I will soon be up to nine guitars. Three of them are really fairly cheap instruments that I bought to hang on the wall and look pretty... and make me look like a real guitar player.
The one I am excited about getting in the next couple of weeks, and have been planning to tell sstrams all about when I have it, is a custom build by this guy. [
www.liggettguitars.com] It's being made from a coffee table that my uncle made from a piece of Koa wood my parents bought in Honolulu when my dad was in the navy in the early '50s.
If you're on Facebook or Instagram, you can search for Liggett Guitars and he has posted some pictures as he's going through the build. Not sure when he'll finish, but the next week or two wouldn't surprise me, it's getting pretty close.
Sorry... I'm obviously very excited about it... and you DID ask!
