I don't recall ever fantasizing about playing any other position. My grandsons, in order, are WR, QB, RB, QB/RB, and RB... I have one grandson that doesn't play football. They all dreamed of their respective positions in HS/College, same as me.
When I first starting cheering our Rams I really didn't have any friends that followed the NFL. They were all into baseball. So I'm not sure which position kids my age fantasized most about playing but I have to think it was RB. RB's were KING back then, (close to that now as well
). And it wasn't only Jim Brown.. although he was certainly the King.
So the RB position was my favorite.... but, of course, as far as players - - - I loved every position with a slight bias towards D because I've always been more of a D fan. - JamesJM
