Think I was a bit different than you. As a kid and thinking of an occupation, (although I never thought of it as an "occupation"
, I felt that I would do exactly that. At the time it wasn't a dream to me, or a wish, it was fact.
Defining 'adult' as post High School I was like Mama... I wanted to be an actor. In fact - that was my major in college - "Dramatic Arts". Being drafted put a dampener on that... then my Dad's poor health and his need for help on the farm decided for me. No regrets. To this day I know of no better lifestyle... coupled with small town culture and a plethora of friends that were 'family'. - JamesJM
