I think so far , both the cast and the writing has been a little weak
were in Band of Brothers we're introduced to most of the characters right there in the first episode
were Masters Of The Air , just seems to be sprinkling them in as we go
Buck and Bucky , the main two characters , Austin Butler (Elvis) , quiet and soft spoken , really hasn't done much , and Callum Turner , the jury is still out , but after two episodes , ???
the two characters that probably stood out the most , were Barry Keoghan as Lt Curtis Bidd and probably my favorite so far was Anthony Boyle as Major Crosby , the navigator who gets air sick , at first , I kind of wrote him off as a one off character , but by episode two , I'm thinking he'll have a much bigger part , which is good , because I like him
I think one thing the show has against it when it comes to character development , is a lot of the air combat scenes , their all wearing their oxygen masks and at times it's hard to tell who is who , or even which plane you're in
most of the reviews I've read say the same thing , but they also say , you do feel a more connection with the characters as you we go along , and it makes it tough when not all the characters survive .............which I'm sure is to be expected
one thing I was a little disappointed in , in the first two episodes , there was little to no explanation of the bombing missions , we see them in the briefing room for like one minutes being told what their target is , and that was it , and away they go
I needed a little more intel.................lol
same with the lack of Fighter escorts , they had none in the two missions we've seen so far , their not even mentioned
I know we'll get Fighter escorts later on , just seemed strange , they weren't even mentioned in the first two episodes
***** Minor Spoiler Ahead *******

I was a little surprised with the scene were the American crew are having drinks with the RAF crew , and their talking about night time and day time bombing , and how the British can't hit anything in the dark
I thought maybe they would just say , well if we leave this war to the British it will take for ever ,, but when they stepped outside and the American guy knocked the British guy out with just one punch , I thought wow , Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg took a little bit of a dig at the RAF., I wasn't really expecting that ..............lol
but I'm assuming the RAF will show up again at some point , because I believe at some point , the RAF Spitfires will help with some air cover ........I'm guessing
even though there hasn't really been any standout performances , I feel the show is off to a very sold start , I've read that by episode 6 , you're alot more invested in the characters and , things really get turned up a notch and you're fully invested
