I think the lawsuit is his leverage and if as you indicate it is not leverage then what leverage does a minority coach who is interviewed to fill a quota have? What Leverage does a Minority coach who is hired as a space filler while they wait for an opportunity to clean house which is usually within 2 to 3 years rebuild with a coach that often times is under qualified and paid better. What better tool is there? As a former Minority HC who has basically been disrespected and used in the mechanism that is very suspiciously dismissive and continues to reset the bar for Minority hires far above their non minority peers and the level and power and support and financial considerations that there non minority counterparts receive, he had but 2 options play the game and keep his head and hand down or stand up while others are being ignored abused and compromised and turn on the lights for their benefit. Lift up the curtain and expose the deceat.

I applaud him. I feel bad it has to come to this as I agree he will not be seen as a whistle blower saving lives or exposing corruption but as some rebel rouser setting the town on fire. For the record he is not. He is not the problem. I will disregard your characature of Goodell and the rather dismissive comments regarding free speech, non violent protest and free expression of descent to habitual practices that overwhelmingly haunt minorities. These athletes bring attention to Cancer, Hunger, Child abuse, Domestic violence and TBI but somehow they are unqualified to decry systemic racism and all of its manifestations.

After Janurary 6, 2021 and that horror, I think Flores should be admired for trying to do something positive and that he has actual skin in the game and something to lose for someone elses gain.

And beyond it being an indictment of the lack of credibility in the NFL Ivory Tower and an embarrassing situation, I have a hard time seeing how there is any actionable claim.

I've been saying for years: Goodell is completely sold out politically. It is so transparent. He has embraced identity politics and woke culture. He has allowed all kinds of player demonstrations to start games including refusing to honor our national flag. He supports these fringe groups like BLM whose reputation has tanked. He has helped to continue, if not create, a race based lens for the NFL... something they'll never be able to live up to. Well.... Coach Flores just called them out based on the Goodell's own words and the toxic situation he has not only allowed to fester but even to celebrate and promote it.

I get it if Flores looks around and asks why so few Black HCs. Good question. But this is not how you solve such a thing. He has no leverage. ...Bad timing. Bad everything. Nothing to gain everything to lose... and already lost.
