Oh, I took it in the way that you had intended, AlbaNY. No worries.
Yeah, Rams have cap options, just depends how far they want to push them. I mean, the ‘22 season is still within their SB window, right? So, maybe nothing is off the table?
But they’ve got to make better decisions that maximize opportunities.
Couple of examples where they shot themselves in the foot this year personnel wise:
Atwell pick
Not having (or getting when necessary) a decent blocking TE behind Mundt.
The Miller trade is looking like a desperate move that’s gonna backfire in the long run. Those 2 premium picks would sure be handy next year.
I give most of the blame for the above to Snead.
But McVay has plenty of egg on his face, too.
Forgetting the run in too many situations.
The Morris hire.
The DeCamillis hire.
Being outcoached in 3 straight games by Titans, 49ers, and Packers.
I love this team and I appreciate their aggressiveness in personnel matters. But when you trade away premium picks for established stars, you’ve gotta be right on the picks you have remaining AND not be outcoached 3 consecutive games plus hire inferior coordinators.
I guess I kinda got off topic with this little rant but it does feel good to blow off a little steam. Certainly wasn’t directed at you, anyway..
Nice discussion, man.
