This is all new. The government rushed to do something, and we have a vaccine that works what 80-90 percent of the time? That's better. But for those who decide not to take it, why would they not?
Well, believe it or not, the vaccine does have terrible side effects, even on the first dose. Safe for 95 percent of 100 million means 5 million it's not safe for. If you are a single parent living paycheck to paycheck and are okay with masking and distancing, do you take the chance?
I don't think we know enough to judge anyone on a very personal and risky decision either way. If you got both shots without issue, celebrate. My first shot gave me violent flu-like symptoms for 24 hours. My second shot gave me similar symptoms for 48 hours. So yeah, I get why some don't rush to do it.
