If you actually read those studies, it varies wildly. How tight of a weave stops the droplets? How hard does an individual sneeze? How tall are they so that the droplets drift downward takes longer?
Is the A/C on? How much air is being recycled versus fresh? Is a fan blowing? Is it 80 Degrees or 60 Degrees? All of this and more play big roles on the transmission of the virus in the air.
The mask made of anything with NO standards whatsover, and the 6 ft. distance, are enormously vague approximations. Heck they've become fashion statements. Masks and 6 Ft. make nice sub headlines and ways for governments to enforce mostly arbitrary rules; but they are far from scientific. And if they actually worked as advertised, the virus would have been defeated in our nation and others that are even more stringent about it, months ago (remember the promise that if we isolated, socially distanced, and wore masks that in about a month this would be under control? That was the CDC.)
