In the final analysis. . . if, in fact, the move was justified simply by the fact that St. Louis failed to meet it's obligation, as many of you have said. . . .and its a done deal
Why?
If you read the relocation application why was it necessary, using fake numbers, to say that this is a S***hole city. . . that ANY business (not just football) thinking of locating in St. Lois would face financial disaster. . .. that St. Louis is ONLY a baseball city. If justification for the move was ONLY that the city failed to meet its obligations . . .why was this necessary. Can somebody explain that?
And then there's this board. From the very minute Stan announced he would maintain ownership it turned into a St. Louis fans hate board. For four years every day it was flooded with insults. . . misinformation and out and out lies. And the fact that this was allowed to go on unchecked tells me that the official position the board took was to agree with all this.
Again I ask . . . if the principles of the move were as simple as St. Louis failed to meet its obligations. . . and nothing else. . . Why was this necessary. What did it accomplish.
You know. . . I think back at those who accepted our hospitality, help and support. . . then turned around the stabbed us in the back. And I have to ask Why.
In the end I have to admit that the way we were treated here has more to do with my attitude. . . even more than the move itself. Had we been treated like human beings. . . if it weren't impressed upon us that St Louis was a second class hick town. . . my opinions would probably be different now. And I might actually remain a Rams fan.
But we got the message. . . St. Louisans are unworthy of the brotherhood. Which is the reason most of us dropped out long before the move. If that weren't true, those here would have given us some respect and understanding throughout the process. To demean us was the choice of the board. And that is what I'm most bitter about..
