I don't think that's true. St. Louis claims that the Rams .
I could not care less about who says what about St. Louis and the Rams and who did what. I am not discussing that and nothing I said has anything to do with that.
You're not listening to the actual discussion.
The POINT is that in this discussion, here, in this thread--not in St, Louis several years ago which is a different issue--some posters are saying that WHEN they moved, the Rams did it with unneccessary disrespect.
And the people saying that keep saying why can't you hear us saying this.
You 2 are just 2 more examples of not hearing that.
You're just repeating old battles almost by rote, as if anyone cared.
In the process, for the life of you, you can't hear what people in the thread are ACTUALLY saying.
So much so it's getting funny.
...
I don't think you are hearing what people are saying in this thread... they're saying that is wasn't disrespect, it was the hard truth.... sometimes the truth hurts, STL was hurt by that and STL could have avoided all of this by simply living up to their end of the deal. The disrespect if any was going both ways back then as I remember the media wasn't exactly writing love letters to the Rams back then either.
In this day and age, it isn't surprising I suppose. But as I pointed at earlier, the Forbes article clearly shows that the Rams comments at the time, the so-called disrespect, were directed primarily at the ridiculous offer proposed by St. Louis and the CVC. It was a pompous, ridiculous offer meant to insult the Rams. The Rams responded by pointing out why it was absurd for them or any NFL team to even consider such nonsense. Included in that were examples of why the financial situation St. Louis wasn't particularly desirable. Part of which was the income potential of the area but most of which was the decades of not delivering on their promises. The Rams had direct knowledge of how the local government treated financial obligations and indirectly, St. Louis had a decades long history of not supporting or following through with NFL teams like the Cardinals and Stallions.
Why would any sane businessman take them at their word or even seriously? This isn't about the fans. This is about the disingenuous and corrupt local government and sports authority and everything the Rams said about them was true and deserved.
