I don't mean to sound offensive, but this is naive.
You don't get to be a Billionaire (as is EVERY league owner), or any walk of life, if it isn't "all about the money". Nobody lucks into becoming a Billionaire, nor doesn't try to invest to constantly increase his fortune, and isn't ruthless about it otherwise it doesn't happen.
To be clear: I'm not glorifying or defending Billionaires. I'm saying the one common trait about them all is, and will always be, "it's all about the money".
OF COURSE the NFL is always trying to increase the revenue and the value of their franchises. That's why they're in the football business.
Like others here... you're missing the point. Puh-leez stop getting it twisted. It's not so much that Kroenke moved the team from St Louis to Los Angeles. We're not so naive or stupid that we don't get that it IS, after all... all about the money. It's about HOW it was done. It didn't have to go down the way that it did. THAT'S what its about for most folks here. The deception... the lies... the leading on... the blatant indifference shown by the owner to the city and to the fans (do you know that Kroenke never met the mayor of St Louis while the team was here. Odd for a person in his position), the kick in the teeth AND the a$$ on the way out. Totally unnecessary and undeserved. We didn't get a nice goodbye speech from Kroenke where he expressed sorrow for leaving, or where he thanked the city for being home to the Rams for the past 25 years. On the other hand, Kroenke gave a sweet "we're here!" speech when the team arrived in Los Angeles. He even frickin' cried at the podium (which just made me want to puke). The only common courtesy extended to us in St Louis as the team was leaving was from a handful of players who publicly and graciously said what the owner and his henchman, Demoff, never did, and never will.
