Play better under pressure? Like which qb? And remember with "which qb" I mean you will have to name one who played with an OL that was the same kind of problem. We've seen the best struggle under pressure at times because the Rams have had Quinn and now Donald. Many top qbs had issues with Rams pressure when the Rams could bring it. Heck at the end of the famous Monday night game Mahomes had 2 chances to tie or win with just under 2 minutes and he threw 2 INTs...as a direct result of being pressured all game. The difference is, with a problem OL, it's that way for the qb every week.
What does Goff need? A fairly solid, relatively healthy OL. When he gets that people with the infamous "don't factor in the OL" syndrome will tell us how much he improved on his own as a qb.

Well said zn. I agree with your whole post. You won't get a list or even a mention of a QB that doesn't "need a good running game and good coach or good OL. That's for a reason...there aren't any. That generalization applies to all QB's not just Goff or Jimmie G.. People who criticize Goff by saying that he doesn't play as well under pressure is another generalization that applies to 99% of all QB's. Goff has room to grow and is not perfect, I get that. But these generalizations are a weak argument as to why he isn't as good as he can be.
As for the SB, yes, I wish he would have played better too. However, I keep in mind he faced possibly the BEST defensive mind EVER in the NFL on the world's biggest stage at the age of what? 24? Having said that, IMO, if Cooks catches those 2 balls, Goff is a SB champ and maybe MVP.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
