QB A - R. Wilson SEA 4th in Rushing yards / game (27th ranked OL by PFF)
QB B - J. Garoppolo SF 2nd (14th)
QB C - J. Goff LAR 26th (31st)
QB D - A. Rodgers GB 15th (6th)
QB E - P. Rivers LAC 28th (29th)
QB F - M. Ryan ATL 30th (24th)
Well Wilson is always Wilson. As I said, he's always one of the exceptions I list when I say a tiny handful of qbs can play well behind problem OLs.
Garoppolo works within a system that has a dynamic running game and he was 29th in passing attempts. That kind of situation shelters a qb,
In 2019 Rodgers played behind one of the best OLs in the league. Even given his advantages, he had a higher percentage of bad throws than Goff.
Rivers OL was famously beat up all last year. They added Bulaga and Turner in the off-season. They were 6th in passing yards but went 5-11 which indicates they were passing to catch up. It was not a good season for Rivers--105.5 qb rating in 2018, but an 88.5 qb rating in 2019. Partly because it's his worst TD % in his career. He had a good completion percentage but that went along with having a low yards per attempt (7.03). It was also one of his worst years for INTs. I would say what caused his regression from 2018 was the OL issue.
Ryan was sacked a lot (highest sack percentage of his career), had a low yards per attempt (6.25), but was a gamer behind a bad OL. He too did not play as well as 2018 (qb rating fell from 108.1 to 92.1). His OL famously struggled in 2019, in part due to injuries. Like SD Atlanta had no running game.
Your list includes 3 qbs who fell off from their previously good 2018 performances---Goff, Ryan, and Rivers--and in each case they played with struggling OLs in 2019. None of the 3 teams had a running game in 2019.
I THINK what you're doing is trying to compare pressures, but pressures is not the only issue behind a problem OL.
As it stands they all 3 fell off from 2018, as measured by qb rating and team record (the record is not all on the qb but it indicates a struggling team).
Rivers
2018 105.5, 12-4
2019 88.5, 5-11
Ryan
2018 108.1, 7-9
2019 92.1, 7-9
Goff
2018 101.1, 13-3
2019 86.5, 9-7
