Goff has not been good under pressure as the Rams QB. It was true in 2016, 2017, 2018 and again in 2019
Now the truth is the Rams oline regressed baldly last year but to imply that his issues dealing with pressure are purely due to last years oline simply isn’t true.
This is a direct quote from the article and it addresses 2018. At the time of its writing the 2019 season had not occurred yet
Goff’s difficulties dealing with pressure that night were a shining example of a weakness he displayed all season. When pressured, Goff completed 68 of 157 passes (43.3 percent) for 913 yards (5.8 per attempt), five touchdowns and five interceptions.
Goff’s passer rating under pressure of 59.8 ranked 29th of the 39 quarterbacks with at least 150 total dropbacks last season. And as you are well aware there is more data out there dzram already posted it in great detail and this is not the first time you and I have discussed it either
I’m just glad Goff is working on those things they talk about in the Athletic article. Its exactly the areas he needs improvement as I have been saying for the last two years. If Goff works on making THE RIGHT decisions and quicker (not just throwing the ball away), making better throws when off balance, making better throws when on the move and being more consistent when disrupted, JUST AS HE HIMSELF SAYS HES WORKING ON.... then his ability to have impacts on close games like the game in Chicago in 2018, the SB in 2018, the 49ers game in LA, and the Steelers game last year for example (just to name a few off the top of my head) he can help the Rams win even if the online struggles and the Rams don’t have a run game.
