Well, I just don’t have the energy to dissect his article.
Suffice it to say that the Rams are gonna be just fine, personnel-wise.
Sure, they’re gonna lose some players due to cap restrictions this off-season. All teams do. But I suspect that the Rams are happy with some of their current backups already waiting in the wings. Lots of them, actually.
Only time is gonna provide an off ramp for the Gurley and Cooks contracts so why get all worked up about it?
Assuming that Littleton is extended, but that we lose Fowler, Brockers, Whitworth, Matthews, and Weddle:
We need to acquire a RB, and depth OL for the ‘20 season on O. That’s it.
We need Edge, DT, and DE on D. That’s it.
Maaaybe a kicker to replace GZ?
Anything else is gravy.
To accomplish the above we have 8 draft picks (including 4 in the top 100 or so) AND some shrewd FA moves, both of which are Snead specialties.
I anticipate a shakeup on the coaching staff. A major one if Wade ‘retires’.
Geez, I’ve got a real good feeling about this offseason.
