This is MY thread and I'm addressing the issue of how well Goff does under pressure relative to other QBs. In addressing this, I am looking beyond the narrow focus of injury depleted OLs since that is something Goff has only faced for the last handful of games.

This may be the 4th or 5th time I've mentioned this to you but again... I don't care about injuries right now since I'm not only looking at this year's performance and definitely not only the last handful of games.

I'm researching this because typically when someone points out that Goff doesn't do well under pressure, invariably someone states that the only two QBs who do well under pressure are Brady and Wilson.

A few days ago I asked you how we know that the tackles play had regressed. Your verbatim response at this link was "Look at their numbers. More sacks, more penalties, more pressures, less running game production. Plus you could see it." ZN Response on subpar tackle performance

I would say the same for defining a subpar OL as a whole. How do we know when an OL is subpar?

Simple. Look at their numbers. More sacks, more penalties, more pressures, less running game production. Plus we can see it. Thus, as a general rule a subpar OL is going to be one that allows a lot of pressure and/or doesn't run block well.

My thread here is to address the pressure aspect which is the part that relates to the quality of QB. And what I'm seeing is that there ARE other QBs that perform well under pressure.

Since this is my thread, if you're going to contribute I welcome that but let's stay on point and stick to what I'm addressing. Fair enough?
