I swear, you young whipper-snappers astound me.. always the HIGH DRAFT picks trump ALL. Get rid of EVERY good player and stockpile draft picks... if there exists a more losing strategy I couldn't begin to speculate what it could be.
it's gotten to the point that a #1 draft pick equates to SB Victory. Say HUH?
Ok, sorry... but geez. - JamesJM
I don't think anyone WANTS to trade Kupp. But there have been suggestions that, since it's possible we may not be able to sign him to a new contract, maybe we should get a Jalen Ramsey package for him.
To talk about trading without talking about the upcoming contract issue is misrepresenting the "young whipper-snappers" position. Said with all due respect. (As an aside I'm not sure why you assume that those who have suggested that are young.)
They can sign him. Why not?
And...no one is going to give 2 1s for Kupp. He's good. But he ranks among a few good receivers in the league. Ramsey is a rare shut-down corner. You're comparing diamonds and pearls. There's always more of the latter than the former.
.....
Interesting that Cooks gets traded for a first rounder twice, yet the Pats didn’t consider him the Rams best WR in the SB. They doubled Woods.
And Cooks gets paid WR1 money because of speed. Teams say rare speed and they overpay. He’s overpaid yet teams view him as more valuable than Kupp. Not me.
Would anyone give up a first rounder for Kupp? I don’t think so. And that’s fine by me. He’s not gonna get WR1, perfect. We get to keep him as a guy who outplays his salary. Just another reason not to trade him. Kupp will always be great bang for the buck. You don’t trade guys like that.
