what you can demonstrably show is that Goff's stats are worse.... what is more difficult, and what I'm getting at, is whether that is all on Goff or not? You're saying it is. Well, that 'could' be, no doubt... but I'm thinking other factors are involved except perhaps in this way:
I think it's far more likely than not that Goff, since his rookie year, has been asked to do more and more.... and not season by season but rather game by game. I don't see it out of the realm of possibility that Goff has plateaued on that learning curve so... what we're seeing today is not entirely, if at all, regression in Goff's skills but rather an inability to make decisions since he's been called on to 'think' more. IOW.... if he had less to think about I don't think it's impossible that he'd be playing more like the Goff of old.
Oh no question there are other factors (and I listed the ones that come to mind) BUT to ME, unquestionably Goff is more "off" in the inconsistent streak after the bye than he ever was before, going back to the start of 2017. To me it's visible, you can see it. I agree with Saguro that when he's off it's not only visible in his performance, but in his entire on the field qb demeanor. He can actually look stymied and (to an extent, don't want to overstate this) confused.
I don't think he has been asked to do more and more in any dramatic way, I think that he has to compensate for things around him and isn't up to that...FULLY...yet. (That might be splitting hairs?)
So I am just going to have to disagree.
Which, yet again, means you owe me money...since as we agreed, every time I am utterly and perfectly right and you unwisely try to argue with me, you owe me money.
I accept checks.
