Inconsistency. I rewatched the Cleveland game last night and he actually made some fast, sizzling throws. Very quick, decisive, and dead on. Some really great throws in that game.
But there were clunkers as well.
Yeah. That's it.
It is not that he has games without any darts or lasers. He throws some. A fair number. A helluva lot more than Trubisky ever does.
But they come in brief flurries. He doesn't string together extended sequences of the type that dominate and intimidate.
And offense is SUCH a product of rhythm and momentum. Quarter by quarter, series by series, the same offense can go from unstoppable to inept and back again depending on whether those 11 guys find a rhythm. A QB who misses throws breaks that rhythm and the whole thing sputters.
