Couple of things to add to your reply.

1. Perhaps Snead’s drafting under Fisher would look even better had Fisher and his crack O asst coaches been a bit more, ahh..., “adept” at developing their players. Cough, cough...

2. We should be careful to acknowledge Snead’s skill in trades and in finding more than his fair share of UDFA gems. Snead’s contributions extend far beyond just the draft.

No one "developed" the majority of those players. Admittedly, some were lost to non-football causes (Pead, Bailey, Mason.) So who knows on them, though Pead looked pretty damm bad. But...Quick? Givens? Watkins? Richardson? Jones?

They got things out of Austin in 2014 and 2015, more than anyone did since. That's not worth a trade up but still. Robinson was a painfully slow starter who eventually did okay in a starting role on his 3rd team in his 5th year. That's not THAT bad but still he was a 2nd pick in the draft.

In general--they were poor picks. There is no rash of 2012-2016 offensive picks leaving the Rams and suddenly blossoming.

You said you didn't want to mow the Fisher lawn again, so, for me this is about Snead. Coupled with one set of offensive coaches, they did not draft as well (though again they did get Goff, Gurley, and Hav), Coupled with McVay and Kromer, the Rams "collaborative" drafting works better on offense. Or, so it appears so far (that's just a logical caution, I actually believe it;s good but strictly speaking it really is too soon to say it for certain).
