Snead has done a great job.
Before McVay came he drafted a Hall of Fame DT Aaron Donald. He risked everything and made a huge trade to draft a franchise QB in Goff. He drafted Gurley an all pro running back. He had a playoff quality roster in place for McVay.
Snead did make a few mistakes but so has every other GM. He also had to acquire Fisher type players where the above the shoulders was under emphasized.
Fisher also was not very good at developing the talent especially on the offensive side of the ball.
Who knew how good the talent was that Snead had acquired until we got a decent coach in place to take advantage of them.
I will say that Snead has gotten better with age and is now one of the top GM's in the game. Oh Yea he led the coaching search which is another Home Run.
He also works great with McVay as they are one in their thinking when it comes to player acquisition and roster construction. That is a blessing beyond our understanding I think.
