and for the most part, I didn't have issues with his drafts except when they picked Robinson, a pick I frankly despised from day 1. And, I wanted Hopkins vs. trading up and getting Austin but I wasn't as adamant about it since Austin was a pseudo WR.
Snead has done a fine job overall. And, the early results, of his drafts with McVay are quite positive in a deep draft success sense. However, as you say, the results are a bit premature. I do like the types of players they are bringing into the Rams program.
As for Fisher...I think it came down to Fisher's inability to adapt to today's game on offense. And, by the time his tenure was up, Goff had no chance to develop under the type of tutelage Fisher provided. It was his inability to bring in a good OC...or let's say keep one. Shurmur seemed to be the best of the bunch. But he lost him early. Schottenheimer ran a specific offense but we didn't have the horses anywhere on offense. And anyone after Schottenheimer was a nobody. I think if Fisher did it again, he would find an experienced successful OC and let him do his thing. Then again, maybe not.
Who knows...if Robinson was a hit vs. a disaster, Fisher may have had an extended contract.
Ok...it's time for 2019!
