My point is that facts remain facts, of course everyone is going have their own view point and most likely not move from it but the facts are still just that.
It's a fact that PI wasn't called, it's a fact that the Saints still went up by 3 points. It's a fact that their defense had a chance to stop us and didn't. It's a fact that they had the ball first in OT and were stopped by our defense. It's a fact that one call alone did not lose them the game, but of course many do and will disagree and that's fine, but facts are still facts
It' s also a fact that had the PI been called the Saints would have a first down and a chance to run some major clock time off before kicking the FG
See, one's opinion in matters like this determines which facts one highlights and which facts one downplays.
So yeah it's all value judgments, and that is just completely inescapable. The driving force in determining which value judgments we tend to prefer is the team we follow. If the non-call had happened to the Rams in the same kind of situation, I very very much doubt we would be saying the same things we are now.
,,,,
We could go tit for tat on this all day though....
It's also a fact that had the face mask been called the Rams would have a first down on the one yard line and a chance to go up 24-20.... changing the entire dynamic and space time continuum beyond that point making the missed PI call something that most likely never happens.....
See what I did there?
