“2009 The Vikings got an apology on a Brett Favre interception that should have been roughing the passer,” Dungy said. “Wasn’t called. And the Saints go to the Super Bowl. They’re not giving their Super Bowl trophy back and saying, ‘You know what? That was roughing the passer. We should play that game over.’”
I heard this interview myself.
Dungy is well respected by myself and many others in the NFL hierarchy.
I was wondering what play/interception Dungy was referring to?
Looking at this particular interception that sealed the game in the 2009 NFC Championship game, I see no roughing the passer? Was it a different play earlier on the same drive?
Favre throws interception vs Saints in 2009 with :19 seconds left that ends the game.
Roughing the passer on this play?
Was it on the previous drive because I don't see it on this drive. Just curious because the way Dungy explained it in the interview it seemed like it was on the last drive?
