In all fairness, Wentz suffered a gruesome injury and sat out nearly a year.
You are calling it a draw when he is 2 games back from a serious reconstruction of the knee (and you I and the whole world knows he's not 100% physically or mentally yet) against a kid in Goff who has played every game in perfect conditions so far this year sans injury. That in and of itself should tell you a little something.
I know this. The game Wentz got hurt he was clearly the better QB on the field. And since then one guy has had time to progress while the other has been in rehab.
I don't care who's ahead, behind, or even.
Doesn't matter to me.
They will both be good (barring injury) and others can nitpick them apart to determine a rank. I just don't do that, myself. To each his own.
And it's fine with me if they're both good.
Goff is the Rams qb though and I;ve said 2 things about him all along, and that goes back to 2016. Goff has a tremendous collection of innate talents, including timing, anticipation, arm talent (and subtle arm talent not just arm strength), magic feet, toughness, focus, and calm demeanor. I n terms of being a pure passer he may be (and probably is) the best Rams qb I have seen. That's bar none. AND I've also said that he needs to develop the ability to come through in tough, close games and comeback situations. That's a matter of time IMO.
I like rooting for Goff...he makes it easy.
And if Wentz is higher ranked, lower ranked, evenly ranked...doesn;'t matter to me personally at all. I think Wentz is a good qb and that it's a better league with him and Goff both in it.
