If there was ever a QB who was built for the the city of Los Angeles it's Jared Goff.
I need to see Mr. Goff go on the road in terrible conditions and in a hostile environment and do some of the things he is doing now. I need to see him not buckle under pressure like he did in the playoffs against the Falcons. I need to see him put up these numbers against a good defense under less than ideal conditions like he has been afforded so far this year. I'm excited to see how he improves and progresses. It will be fun. But he still has a ways to go.
Two things occur to me, kfriel.
The Rams can only play the teams on their schedule and in that scheduled order. Meaning, we’re just gonna have to wait to see these weather and other situational tests of which you speak. Surely they will come, but so far there’s little to criticize about the performance of our Rams.
The other thing that I think deserves mention is that this Ram team consists of far more than just Goff. Fortunately, there are many other high quality players throughout the roster. Goff has the luxury of leaning on the support of a handful of Pro Bowl types on his O. Together, they seem almost unstoppable. For example, Gurley and this OL can punish opponents in foul weather. And we saw Goff completing amazing passes last year in a heavy rain vs the Giants. The only weak area on this O might be their TE’s, and now even that might be a stretch.
