Without question on the Rams themselves. As a matter of fact, I believe taking all factors of the offense into consideration as a whole, the Rams, at this point, may be blessed with the most talent of any team in the NFL. You and I know as Rams fans unfortunately that there will come a day when we are not as lucky, and I hope by that time Goff transcends the talent level and can lead a team to victory with less than ideal talent around him. Up until the last few games I wasn't remotely confident that it was possible. I am now starting to think maybe he can, which is a strong testament to how hard he has worked and improved.
I know what I saw that first .5 year, and forget the throws and reads etc., blah blah blah. I saw a kid that had happy feet and that concerned me more than anything else. I saw a kid that was scared to be out there at times and was gong all 1989 Jim Everett on me. But Thursday night I saw a kid stand strong in the pocket. I need to see him stand strong perpetually. I need to see a kid stand string when heat is bearing down upon him every play and the crowd is loud and in his face. I need to see that for my own good. He has come so very far in such a short amount of time. I am so very proud of him. Truly I am.
