From your post: "... you should not put one of your best players on a assignment that does not maximize their skillset frequently." Maximizing Quinn's skill set meant using him as the rush linebacker on virtually every play that he was in the game. That does not fit Wade's preference, which is to vary which LB is rushing. Hence, not a scheme fit. And ultimately traded away.
