They need to scout the OL really well cuz I agree that it's a big weakness for us...but when a team forces need over VALUE...
I'm not sure things work out so well.
I'm also not sure there's OL value there at the spots we pick at. I'm speaking of BPA...
and taking - reluctantly - of drafting strengths of the draft.......and that leads me to the defensive side more than not.
It wasn't a plan I went into...and I would be thrilled to draft an OL that is worthy of the spot selected.
Also, I read that Snead/McVay wanted to make/keep the defense equal to the offense...
so, I think they(Snead/McVay) may believe it's a deeper draft on defense. imo
I always stress that IF a guy worthy of the pick is there you take him.
No one is saying anything that should be misconstrued as need over value.
And besides we know this. In the 20s in the first round you are likely to have a group of similarly ranked players. The odds of a very highly ranked player falling to 23 are pretty slim.
If a good left OT is one of the guys who are ranked as possible picks at 23, I would take him.
