We definitely need OL depth but our D really has bigger needs. Wade did wonders in making a decent 3-4 D out of a bunch of athletic guys playing out of position, but they need to improve especially against the run. I see no real NT, our best OLBs are both playing inside and our corners are either gone or on their way out the door. I still think taking the best available player at every pick is the best option but would absolutely strive toward getting 2 CBS, a NT, and two ILBs. Let Tree and Barron roam the edges where there speed and pursuit plays to their play making abilities. If a tremendous center is there at 23 and he's BPA for Snead's board I say pick him. I really expect a LB or CB with out first pick.
You can find CBs and NTs throughout a draft. And they will. I say that because they have before. Rams have a superior record from 2012 finding DBs. It's a long list, including some who have left already, and there's not a single first round pick on that list.
The truth is, you can get by with this defense while building a bit at a time.
The defense needs some pieces to be ELITE. The OL needs some pieces to AVOID FALLING APART. Big difference.
The OL will completely fall apart after one year. If we're lucky that won't involve Whitworth but it could.
