I’ve got a “what if” question for y’all.
What if a LOT is sitting there at #23 and Snead has him rated a 9.0 on his eval?
And a CB, NT, or edge LB is also there and Snead rates one, or more, a 9.3?
If such were the case, I would have to pass on the LOT.
It’s a classic BPA over need dilemma.
=============
I think in the Rams case, an LT that is a 9.0 IS indeed the BPA.
Coz in the rams case i think the positions themselves also carry a number. And the LT number is higher than the CB number in this particular draft.
You are lookin at one number. I'm lookin at two numbers -- ie, the players talent number AND the position-itself-number.
I mean think of it this way -- what if an LT is sitting there at 9.0 and a long snapper is there at 9.9 -- do you take the long-snapper because he has a higher talent-number? No. Coz you also have to weigh the 'need' and value of the 'position' sometimes.
Not always, but sometimes. Not in a Zygmunt way, but in a particular year, particular circumstance way. I just think some of us think the Rams are in real danger of an Oline implosion in the next couple years coz of the age of the LT and Center and the contract stuff for the others.
It will be fun to see what Snead thinks come draft day.
