I would accept those production parameters for elite WR status, zn, but I would also include touchdowns with 9 being the minimum.

Every time I discuss this (going back to 2007 btw) people mention TDs. They (and you) are probably right, though I don't know about 9. There are only 8 WRs in the entire league who got 9 or more. I would actually go with 4-5 at a minimum. That might chop the list down to around 18-20 guys.

BTW, just one vocabulary thing. I can't can't call this "elite status" because part of the whole point is to distinguish high-end talent, elite WRs from regular #1 WRs who just get the job done and produce without elite level skills. So as I say a lot, most elite WRs are #1s, but not every #1 is elite.

....

I didn't make it clear that I meant an elite level of production. I would consider 70/1000 with 9 TDs elite level production. I think Keenan Allen, when he's healthy, produces at an elite level though he's not physically elite. The year the Rams had Brandon Lloyd, he seemed like he could have produced at an elite level with a full season.

Everyone is following their own lights, which is fine with me. Means there;'s a lot to consider.

Myself? I'm not interested in elite level production at this point in looking at these issues. I am just interested in what qualifies as #1 level production, which includes elites but is not limited to them.

If I made that at least 70 catches, 1000 yards, and I will make it 3-5 TDs---all 3 at once--that includes these guys from 2016 (and the 2017 list will be different):

Hilton
Julio Jones
Beckham
Evans
Antonio Brown
Nelson
Cooks
Cooper
Michael Thomas
Landry
Baldwin
Edelman
Demaryius Thomas
Tate
Garcon
Sanders
Fitzgerald
Wallace
Pryor
Crabtree
Adams though he is 3 yards short with 997, but he also has 12 TDs
Tyrelle Williams though he is 1 catch short but why not

That;s 22 guys. There are probably 3-4 other guys who come just short in one area or another who belong too. There's also 2 from New Orleans but what they heck, they both belong on the list. Denver has 2 too, as does GB and Oakland.
My question is, can Robert Woods make a list like that, with those criteria.

If he does then I say he's a #1. A working man's #1 type, not an elite level WR who dominates the whole field .type.
