Minor quibble, despite agreeing with your main point, RFIP. I was one of the few Britt supporters, and I recognize he was a problem in some ways perhaps in the locker room, but he was perhaps the ONLY Rams player last year on O who:
*Didn't quit trying at least sometimes
*Played with pride and seemed truly frustrated by losing
*Consistently did his job, even if it was just throwing a (rare) downfield block
I'll admit that 1000 yards was probably an overachievement, but the fact that he put up numbers despite missing 3 (or was it 4?) games in such a QB+scheme disaster is really to his credit. I'm not broken up that he was released since it's new regime time, but Britt's consistency was one of the very few bright spots on an otherwise putrid Rams offense. I didn't like his attitude all the time, but I admit that he was one of the rare ones, who really did come to the Rams and play
at or above his contract status.I might be misremembering this, but I think he's the first Rams WR with 1000+ yards since Torry Holt.

Btw, didn't Britt put up 1k last year? And no one even wanted him back.
Hollow numbers ARF, Britt is/was a BUM.
1,000 yards doesn't mean what it use to especially in a pass happy league, playing from behind and you only put up 5 TD"S!
Btw, Britt played in 15 games last season!
I hate to disagree with ARF on this at least partly because I would have liked all that to be true about Britt.
But he actually dogged it on some plays, to the point where it became the stuff of commentary during broadcasts.
I think he started out better early in the season, but then he started getting to be more of a problem. Earlier that was at least in part because he and Keenum spent time building chemistry and playing throw and catch in the off-season.
There's also of course the reports of WRs not being available for extra work with Goff. As the senior WR Britt should have at least led by example with that, if not pushing the others into it.
I think Woods is everything Britt isn't in terms of being a dedicated pro. He's a very different kind of receiver though, and if Woods gets his yards he will be doing it in very different ways than Britt did.
