IMO? He can't. I don't know if McVay really expects that but if he does my bet is he will be disappointed.
Tavon obviously has value but it's not as a pure receiver. There's just things he can't do that you have to expect from a receiver.
Various people have tried to say no it's the coaching. I never buy that. Different coordinators have already found out there's a number of ways to use Tavon but counting on him to give you the whole package you expect from a genuine receiver is not one of them. If he had the skills to do more than that he would have already done it. He just doesn't, and it's visible.
Which again is not to say he lacks value as a weapon. You just have to use him to be what he is and not expect something he isn't.
