What bounces around in my pinball head is the thought (hypothetical situation) is Sean could possibly turn out to be a better option this year than Case. But we won't know because the lines have been drawn for some time now.
I like many here at the HERD clamored for Sean's time with the first string to increase to see what he could do. I think his potential is better than Keenum's. To me Case's experience and knowledge of the offense is what has him listed as first string.
Keenum is a 5 year veteran with several starts behind him (15) (and marked improvement in those starts---2013 v. 2014/15 is night and day).
I think what happens is things like the one underthrow to Britt gets people doubting, when in fact he does complete those (he did in 2015).
Other than that he has been stellar this summer so far going against ones. 14 of 19 (73.6%) for a YPA of 7.3 and a qb rating of 133. That's not a bad start for the guy we know will be the placeholder/#2.
I just think CK knows more about football at this point and the team certainly has confidence in him.
If Mannion overtakes him down the road or becomes the new number 2 in his place later on, then, yay---very good situation if that happens.
