When Ryan Fitzpatrick was that 3rd QB you had not problem with Linehan getting rid of him yet, Fitzpatrick has had a long and productive career and has started for 3 different teams.
We have already seen that Keenum is very smooth with the 1st team. Goff has not been horrible but he's not smooth either. Probably due to his lack of experience. What would it hurt Fisher to play Mannion at least 1 quarter with the 1st team this Saturday?
Mannion is not automatically the 3rd team QB. Not sure why anyone would assume he is.
Maybe, just maybe Fisher already has a good idea of how Sean would perform and is good with that and wants to find out more about Goff.
